PURPOSE OF ROLE

The General Hand/Delivery Driver is responsible for maintaining a clean, protected, and orderly environment in the cabinet factory. Additionally, this role involves delivering cabinets and materials to various locations as required and providing support with heavy lifting and cabinet making tasks as necessary. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of the factory and ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Keep the factory clean, organised, and free from hazards by sweeping, vacuuming, and disposing of waste materials regularly.
Maintain safety protocols and ensure the factory’s work environment is secure for all employees.
Assist with organising and managing inventory, including moving and storing materials as needed.
Load, transport, and unload cabinets and materials to various locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery according to schedule.
Maintain the delivery vehicle in valuable working condition, performing regular checks and notifying management of any maintenance needs.
Provide support to cabinet makers and other factory staff as required, including handling materials, components, and tools.




Assist with heavy lifting tasks within the factory as needed adhering to H&S; lifting guidelines.
Support cabinet making tasks as required, such as assembly and construction, under the guidance of experienced cabinet makers.
Assist with quality control processes to ensure products meet the company’s standards before leaving the factory.
Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the factory.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in a similar role
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
Positive communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials and products safely.
Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance and equipment operation.
