The Production Operator - Bending & Fabrication is responsible for operating CNC press brake and bending equipment to manufacture high quality aluminium components in line with production drawings and quality standards.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring product accuracy, consistency and efficient production output within a fast paced manufacturing environment. In addition to bending operations, the role will support broader fabrication and production activities across the workshop as required.
This position is suited to someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn, with training provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC press brake and sheet metal bending equipment.
Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
Set up tooling and machine programs for production runs.
Bend aluminium and sheet metal components to required tolerances.
Perform quality checks on completed parts.
Ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
Identify and report production or quality issues.
Support fabrication, assembly and general production activities as required.
Maintain a clean, organised and protected work environment.
Follow all workplace safety and quality procedures.
Skills & Experience
Experience operating CNC press brake or similar machinery preferred but not essential.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, or willingness to learn.
Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience working with aluminium or manufacturing environments highly regarded.
Good understanding of workplace safety or willingness to follow procedures.
Reliable work ethic and ability to work within a team environment.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
