Ginger Olive is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiter/Bartender to join our front-of-house team. The successful candidate will provide friendly, professional table service while preparing and serving beverages to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, personalised service.
Present menus, explain dishes and recommend suitable food and beverage options.
Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system.
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages.
Maintain positive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, promotions and dietary options.
Serve food and drinks efficiently and professionally.
Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address requests or concerns.
Set up, clean and reset tables and service areas.
Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar.
Process payments and handle cash responsibly.
Follow responsible service of alcohol, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Work collaboratively with kitchen,
bar and front-of-house team members.
Support private functions, group bookings and special events when required.
Skills and Experience
Previous waiter, bartender or hospitality experience is preferred.
Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
Cocktail-making and basic wine knowledge are highly regarded.
Solid communication and customer-service skills.
Confident, friendly and professional presentation.
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy restaurant workplace.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Reliable, punctual and committed to teamwork.
Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
