Quantity Surveyor
Salary: $98,800 + super
Experience required: Relevant Bachelor Degree and at least one year of on-the-job training or 5 years of relevant employment experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

Job Objective:

Estimates and monitors construction costs from the project feasibility stage, through tender preparation, to the construction period.

Job Tasks and Duties:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting
Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for civil construction works such as roads, bridges, earthworks, drainage, and utilities.

Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
Measure quantities from drawings and specifications and develop BOQs for tendering and project control purposes.

Tender Management
Prepare tender documentation, evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, and assist in selecting cost-effective suppliers and contractors.

Contract Administration
Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms, conditions, and project requirements.

Cost Control and Monitoring
Track project expenditures against budgets, identify cost variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability.





Progress Claims and Payment Assessments
Prepare and assess monthly progress claims, payment certificates, and subcontractor valuations.

Variation Management
Assess, price, negotiate, and manage contract variations, changes in scope, and claims arising during construction.

Procurement Support
Assist with the procurement of materials, plant, equipment, and subcontract services while ensuring value for money.

Risk and Financial Analysis
Identify commercial risks and prospects, forecast project costs, and provide financial reporting to project managers and senior management.

Project Reporting
Prepare regular commercial reports including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, earned value analysis, and profit and loss updates.

Stakeholder Liaison
Collaborate with clients, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.

Final Account Preparation
Prepare and negotiate final accounts, ensuring all project costs, variations, and contractual obligations are accurately captured and settled.

Pay: $98,800.00 per year
