A Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, processing sales transactions, and ensuring the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked. They play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience while helping the business achieve its sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
Greet customers in a friendly and qualified manner.
Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions.
Provide accurate information about products, promotions, and store policies.
Operate the cash register and process cash, card, and digital payments.
Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries according to company procedures.
Restock shelves and maintain attractive product displays.
Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to management.
Keep the sales floor, fitting rooms, and stock areas clean and organized.
Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
Meet individual and team sales targets where applicable.
Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and security procedures.

Requirements




High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced setting.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
