Mid-City Motel Warrnambool is a well-established accommodation provider offering comfortable, high-quality accommodation and exceptional guest service in the heart of Warrnambool. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer satisfaction.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Salary: $70000 – $80,000 plus Superannuation for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas and facilities to ensure they meet the motel's cleanliness and presentation standards.
Train, mentor and support recent housekeeping employees in cleaning procedures, workplace health and safety, and customer service standards.
Prepare staff rosters, allocate daily duties and monitor team performance to ensure productive operations.
Maintain housekeeping inventory, order cleaning supplies and monitor stock levels.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and motel policies.
Resolve housekeeping issues and assist in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Liaise with reception and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are prepared promptly for arriving guests.
Assist with front reception duties when operationally required.
Continuously promote high standards of guest satisfaction and service delivery.
Skills and Experience
At least 1 year of relevant supervisory experience in housekeeping within a hotel, motel or accommodation environment.
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
Ability to supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
Positive understanding of cleaning procedures, workplace hygiene and WHS requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and rotating shifts as required.
