About the Role
Gilani Engineering is seeking a practical and experienced Engineer with robust hands-on workshop experience to support fabrication, assembly, and technical project execution. This role is ideal for an engineer who is comfortable working both on the shop floor and in a technical coordination capacity.
The successful candidate will contribute to production activities, assist with technical problem-solving, and ensure engineering standards are maintained across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical support in fabrication and assembly operations
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of engineered products
Troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues on-site or in the workshop
Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Support continuous improvement in workshop processes
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
Proven hands-on experience in workshop, fabrication, or manufacturing settings
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Solid mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Commitment to workplace safety
Preferred (Advantageous)
Experience in fabrication, welding, or structural assembly
Experience in automotive or engineering project environments
Familiarity with Australian standards
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Wetherill Park NSW 2164 or be planning to relocate prior to commencement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour
