The Gardens Club is seeking an experienced Casual Café All-Rounder / Barista to join our team in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. We’re a busy daytime café and events venue with a strong community focus, delivering a hospitality training program that supports young people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds.

About the role

This is a hands-on position where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll work across coffee service, customer service and general café operations, helping us deliver a welcoming and efficient experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities include:
Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages
Providing friendly and professional customer service
Processing orders and payments through the POS system
Delivering drinks & food to customers
Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked café
Supporting the team during busy service periods
Assisting with occasional event service when required

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Previous experience working in a café
Robust barista skills and confidence on a commercial machine




A positive attitude and the ability to perform well under pressure
Excellent reliability and punctuality
A team-first approach to service
An RSA certificate (required)
Availability across a 7 day roster
