We’re on the hunt for a Qualified Boilermaker or 2nd class welder with experience to join our team in the earthmoving industry. If you take pride in your welding and fabrication skills and have a solid background working on heavy machinery and structural steel, this is the opportunity for you.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for performing welding, repairs, and fabrication work on a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment and components—both in the workshop and occasionally on-site. The role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and repair of earthmoving plant and attachments
MIG, TIG and stick welding as required
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
Working on wear plates, buckets, booms, chassis, and structural components
Completing pre-starts, maintenance reports, and job cards accurately
Supporting breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance work
Requirements:
Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade)
OR 2nd class welder fabricator with minimum 2 years experience
Experience in the earthmoving, mining, or heavy industry sectors
Proficient in MIG welding (TIG and stick welding experience a plus)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
White Card (Construction Induction)
Driver’s licence (HR or forklift ticket advantageous)
