Prime Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Trade Assistant to join our client's workshop team based in Cockburn Central. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical workshop experience who is looking for a long-term position with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in the design and production of quality agricultural machinery and is looking for a hands-on individual to support their busy workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities




Work alongside Mechanical Fitters to support daily workshop activities
Assist with mechanical assembly, repairs, and general workshop tasks
Operate forklifts to move materials and components around the workshop
Safely use a range of hand and power tools
Support general workshop duties and maintain a clean and organised work area
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements
Previous experience working in a mechanical workshop environment
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Solid understanding of workshop safety practices
Forklift licence and experience desirable
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
