Sonographer, Vascular (Varicose Vein Clinic)

The Vein Institute and Spider Veins Australia is a doctor-led specialist vascular clinic focused on the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of varicose and spider veins. We are seeking a sonographer with vascular experience, or a general sonographer with venous mapping exposure keen to develop further, to join our team in a supportive, patient-focused workplace.

This is a rare chance to work in a niche area with a manageable caseload and a small, friendly team. The role suits a candidate who values clinical quality, flexibility and autonomy.

Key responsibilities:
Perform bilateral lower limb venous duplex ultrasound scans
Provide pre-operative venous mapping and post-treatment assessments for ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)
Provide real-time ultrasound guidance to doctors during procedures
Operate GE ultrasound machines in a modern, well-resourced clinic
Work independently and in collaboration with our medical team
Optional travel to our Melbourne and Canberra clinics, with travel incentives provided

Requirements:




ASAR-accredited sonographer
Vascular ultrasound experience preferred
General sonographers with some venous mapping exposure welcome to apply
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centred care
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Able to work autonomously in a small, efficient clinic
