The Terrace Thai Bathurst is looking for a reliable and hardworking Casual Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand to join our friendly team.
This role may be suitable for a local high school student currently studying in Years 10–12 who is looking for after-school or weekend work, extra income and practical workplace experience.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will include:
Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
Keeping the dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organised
Emptying bins and assisting with general cleaning
Carrying and moving boxes, kitchen supplies and other items
Helping the kitchen team with easy tasks when required
Following workplace hygiene and safety procedures
Hours
Approximately 3–4 hours per shift
Around 2–3 shifts per week
Mainly evening and weekend shifts
Shifts will depend on the restaurant’s requirements and your availability
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable and punctual
Hardworking and willing to learn
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace
Physically capable of standing for the duration of the shift and safely lifting and carrying kitchen supplies, boxes and equipment
Comfortable with cleaning and performing physically active duties
Able to work well as part of a team
Available during evenings and weekends
No previous experience is required, as training will be provided.
Pay rate will vary depending on the successful applicant’s age, shift times and applicable penalty rates under the Restaurant Industry Award.
