About the Role:

Our restaurant is looking for a qualified chef that can manage a busy kitchen which serves food for UP TO 120 SEATS and of course our amazing functions.

Showcasing a proven track record of leading by example, and a passion to deliver quality food consistently, the right Chef will:
Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs and order food supplies
Deliver high quality dishes, consistently well, in a fast-paced, busy environment.
Work fast, clean and able to motivate the team through leading by example
Discuss any food preparation issues with managers and other staff
Demonstrate techniques and advice on cooking procedures
Meet all health and hygiene requirements
Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and understanding of HACCP.
Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
Select and train staff if needed
Freeze and preserve foods accordingly

About you:





You must possess the following skills:
Equivalent of Australian certificate III or higher in commercial cookery plus 2 year work experience in relevant roles.
Working and thriving under time pressure
Pride in your food presentation
Excellent food hygiene and safety practices
High Personal grooming standards
Can do attitude with a passion for the Hospitality industry
Amazing time management skills and work ethic
Must have a LOVE for food and a great attitude
Friendly and outgoing personality (Essential)
