The Position

Sharp & Carter are partnering with a global organisation to recruit a Payroll Officer. This permanent chance is based in the Brisbane office, with an initial two-month training period at the organisation's Head Office on the Gold Coast (free in office parking provided). Following the onboarding and training period, you will be based in the Brisbane office while remaining connected to a collaborative, high-performing payroll team. You will gain exposure to complex payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements while developing your career within a globally recognised organisation renowned for its supportive culture and commitment to employee development.

As the Payroll Officer, you will ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery while providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers. You will partner closely with the business to develop a solid understanding of awards, agreements, and pay complexities, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within payroll operations.





Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll ensuring accurate calculations for 4000+ employees.
Audit and analyse payrolls to ensure legislative, tax, superannuation, and award compliance.
Prepare and manage reports, reconciliations, and other internal payroll requirements.
Collaborate with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, and award matters.
Maintain accurate staff records, archiving, and adherence to company retention policies.
Support payroll system upgrades and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience
Proven experience processing medium to large payrolls in a complex environment.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and a cooperative team approach.
Eagerness to advance knowledge of technologies and online tools.
