The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance services for all BOC installations at our client’s sites across Victoria. This includes ensuring equipment reliability and integrity on client sites. The role is based in the Preston/Melbourne region and requires excellent customer service and communication skills, experience in a mechanical/technical service industry, and willingness to travel regularly.
Responsibilities
Mechanical maintenance of equipment on customer and BOC sites across medical, industrial, food, scientific and hospitality industries
Installation and removal of equipment
Calibration and testing of gas analysers at customer and BOC sites
Technical support and troubleshooting of equipment
Maintenance of Cryogenic vessels
Conduct audits and inspections of equipment for safety and condition
Complete planned maintenance and breakdown tasks as required
Communicate with customers face to face and over the phone
Work closely with local project management and sales team
Drive long distances as required
Support to CES Tasmanian operations, which may include short trips to Tasmania each year
Qualifications
Trade qualifications within Mechanical (e.g., Fitting/Plumbing)
or Instrumentation field or demonstrated relevant experience
Experience in troubleshooting or fault-finding
Unrestricted driving licence
Excellent communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships
Availability for regular travel
A versatile work mindset and ability to work autonomously
Additional desirable: white card or equivalent general construction induction, forklift licence, maintenance or project installation experience, pipe and tubing experience, or customer service experience
