About the role

Reporting to the State Merchant Manager, Trade & Retail, the Account Manager – Merchants will run their own territory as part of a high‑performing sales team in Pinkenba. Key duties include managing relationships with key accounts and smaller independent customers while embodying GWA’s ‘customer first’ ethos.

Responsibilities
Identify opportunities for developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives.
Develop and maintain external relationships with current and potential customers, and internal relationships with key stakeholders across the GWA business.
Achieve budgeted sales and margin targets and manage defined pricing guidelines.
Providing technical information both internally and externally.
Demonstrate recent products and emphasize saleable features and advantages.
Analyze sales statistics to formulate strategies and assist in sales growth.
Carry out merchant sales plans to achieve various targets.




Ensure merchants have current displays and are adequately stocked with current point‑of‑sale information, price information, and collateral.
Maintain day‑to‑day, face‑to‑face contact with the customer base through daily, weekly call cycles and monthly reporting.
Represent GWA at relevant merchant and trade functions.

Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in a similar Account Manager role with robust, relevant industry experience and product knowledge.
Strong relationship‑building skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
Background as an experienced brand champion.
Motivated by challenge and eager to work as part of an engaged and energetic team.
Analytical mindset with strong MS Excel skills and clear, logical report‑writing abilities.

You must be a citizen, permanent resident, or hold all relevant employment visas and approvals for the location and duration of this position.
