One of the larger and better wealth management businesses in Australia, this group have been quietly grown organically and by acquisition. The business is looking to grow further, so they are now scaffolding the team with some new positions to ensure the ongoing success of the team. One of these current roles is the role of a Sales Coach, or an Advice Coach. This is largely an onsite role and 3 days a week or can be 3 days over 4 or 5 days.
The Role and Responsibilities
Reporting into the Marketing and Strategy Director, this role is vital to the ongoing development of all of the financial and associate advisors in the business. Some may see this role as pure learning and development, but the business is keen to secure someone who is a respected and valued by the team as a genuine coach. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
understand and believe in the recent advice methodology that the business is implementing
build robust internal relationships
develop and write new training programs
be a key part of agenda and content creation for quarterly professional days and annual conference
be the coach for the advice team - the key to enhancing advisors' relationships with their clients
Your Skills and Experience
It is likely that you are in a sales coaching role and you understanding the psychology of sales people and ideally that you know something about investor psychology. Further to this it would be highly advantageous that you have an understanding of the financial advice process and compliance, but not necessarily technical knowledge. It isn't necessary to have been a financial advisor to do this role.
