Position Summary:

The Horse Float Assembly is responsible for the exact assembly of new horse float units and the expert servicing, repair, and maintenance of existing horse floats. This hands‐on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to producing work of the highest standard for our equine and customer safety.

Assembly:
Install axles, suspension systems, lighting, and wiring harnesses, etc.
Fit interior fittings.
Install and configure horse safety features
Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on completed units to ensure they meet all quality, safety, and functional standards.
Prepare floats for customer delivery, including final cleaning and detailing.

General Duties:
Maintain a clean, organised, and protected workshop environment.




Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially when handling heavy components and working at height.
Complete job documentation, service reports, and timesheets accurately and on time.
Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role
Strong mechanical and practical skills with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
Ability to weld (MIG) is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items and work in various positions.
A valid driver's license. A forklift license is a plus.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Positive verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
