We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Kitchen Steward to lead our stewarding team across the venue. Reporting to the Executive Chef, this full-time leadership role is responsible for driving high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety compliance, chemical management, deep cleaning programs, stock storage and sustainability initiatives.
What you'll be doing
Leading, mentoring and developing the stewarding team
Managing stewarding operations across our kitchen and event spaces
Overseeing deep cleaning schedules and assisting with food safety compliance
Managing chemical safety programs, SDS registers and kitchen WHS requirements
Supporting stock receival and storage standards
Driving sustainability and waste management initiatives
Coordinating stewarding support for day to day operations, major functions and events
Working closely with chefs, maintenance and operational teams to ensure our kitchens are compliant and operating at their best.
About You
You will bring:
Experience in a senior stewarding and kitchen operations
Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
Proven people leadership and rostering experience
Sound understanding of chemical handling, WHS and compliance requirements
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
A proactive approach with a passion for maintaining high standards.
