Join Gunnedah Shire Council's Works team as an Operator or Skilled Operator, contributing to infrastructure projects and maintaining public facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain assigned plant safely and effectively.
Ensure compliance with WHS policies and legislative requirements.
Perform general road maintenance operations, including small plant, hand tools, traffic control duties, and basic engineering tasks.
Occasionally supervise staff and conduct quality control, when assigned.
Collaborate with department members to complete work programs within agreed timeframes and standards.
Apply WHS and risk management systems as per council policies.
Complete administrative tasks accurately.
Maintain required qualifications and undertake training to meet skill levels.
Participate in on-call duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
Current Driver's Licence (HR/HC).
Appropriate Cert 3 qualification or willingness to undertake professional development, or 5 years’ experience in a relevant field.
