Deliver clinical services within an integrated mental health service environment with a multidisciplinary team focus, incorporating clinical assessment, management/treatment planning, interventions, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic programs and support services aimed at maintaining optimal level of consumer functioning in the least restrictive environment.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for severalClinical Nurses (Mental Health - Homelessness Health Outreach Team)to joinGold Coast Health(GCH) where the focus of our ******-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Establish and maintain partnerships with consumers and their family/carers
Provide input into the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols
Maintain the currency and high quality of practice knowledge, skills and expertise by active participation in professional development activities
Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation and with the support of senior clinical staff.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
Driver Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of reliable discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The Homeless Health Outreach Team provides services to people who are chronically homeless with complex needs and diverse value systems, and do not access standard health services.
While there is a strong focus on mental health and drug and alcohol issues and this team sits within Mental Health and Specialist Services, general health issues is within the scope of this team.
This team works very closely with the non-government services and other local and state government services that are involved in providing services to this community.
The Homeless Health Outreach Team is a seven day per week extended hours service.
