Strathalbyn Racing Club is seeking a motivated and reliable Track Supervisor to join our team.
Established in ****, Strathalbyn Racing Club is one of South Australia's most picturesque country race clubs, nestled amongst rolling hills, vineyards and stunning rural landscapes.
As the home of a thriving racing and training facility, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, professional and welcoming environment for our trainers, jockeys, work riders and horses.
This is an exciting prospect to become an important part of our racing operation, helping ensure our training facilities are maintained to the highest safety standards while enjoying the unique atmosphere of the thoroughbred racing industry.
Training will be provided.
About the Role
As Track Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the daily operation and supervision of our training tracks, ensuring all facilities are safe, compliant and ready for use.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising the use of all training facilities and maintaining accurate track usage records.
Inspecting training tracks each morning to ensure they are secure and fit for use, including grass tracks for gallops and jump-outs.
Enforcing track rules with a strong focus on workplace health and safety.
Reporting maintenance issues and coordinating repairs to keep facilities in excellent condition.
Responding promptly to incidents and completing WHS reports when required.
Working closely with trainers, jockeys,



work riders and club management to maintain a safe and efficient training environment.
Assist the Track Manager and team in maintaining the training tracks and facilities.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and has a robust commitment to safety, and enjoys early morning work.
Horse industry or agricultural experience will be highly regarded; however full training will be provided to the right candidate.
You'll also have:
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
A proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail.
Confidence to make sound WHS decisions when required.
A positive, team-focused attitude.
A current Driver's Licence.
A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
A National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
Hours
This is a part-time position (30 hours per week) working:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 4.30am – *****pm
Additional hours may be available during busy periods or race meetings.
