A private, multi site healthcare group is appointing a Group FP&A; Analyst to strengthen its commercial finance function.
The business has grown through organic expansion and is now investing in sharper reporting and planning capabilities at the group level.
Operating across 15 to 20 sites nationally, the group's finance function partners closely with operational and clinical leadership on site-level and group-level performance.
The commercial finance team is small and hands-on, reporting to the Finance Director, with this role central to how the group plans and reports on its numbers.
What's On Offer
Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 plus super, depending on experience.
Hybrid working: three days in the Melbourne office.
Genuine exposure to group level commercial decisions, including acquisition and site expansion activity, in a growing healthcare business.
A small, close knit finance team where the role carries real visibility with the Finance Director.
The Role
In the first 90 days, the person in this role should expect to gain a working command of the group's site-level reporting structure, build relationships with key operational stakeholders, and take ownership of at least one full monthly reporting cycle end to end.
Owns group budgeting, forecasting,

and variance analysis across all sites
Builds and maintains monthly board and management reporting packs, including site level performance commentary
Partners directly with site and operational leaders on commercial performance, cost drivers, and site level profitability
Develops and maintains group level financial models to support quarterly and annual planning cycles
Leads on scenario modelling to support decisions on new site openings, acquisitions, or service line changes
Supports the Finance Director on ad hoc commercial analysis, board papers, and investment cases
Contributes to improving reporting processes and system usage as the group scales
Background Required
Three to six years in FP&A; or commercial finance, ideally with multi site, multi entity, or healthcare sector exposure
CA, CPA, or equivalent, or well progressed toward completion
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, comfortable building models from first principles
Experience working with a mid tier ERP or reporting system, or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn current systems
Comfortable operating in a business where reporting processes are still maturing and where you will help shape them
A collaborative style, given the role's regular contact with non finance operational and clinical stakeholders
