Located in the Inner West of Melbourne in Yarraville, John Hicks Independent Financial Advice are a growing advisory firm.
Less than 2% of financial advisers can call themselves independent, which means that we don't charge commissions or receive kickbacks and we also only charge fixed fees.
We are committed to providing the best advice to our clients, who are typically established professionals or couples approaching retirement.
This is a full-time role based in Yarraville but part-time is available for the right person.

The Role
This role would suit someone already pursuing a career in financial planning or a recent graduate.
You will be working closely with a senior associate and the practice principal.
Day to day, this means managing the implementation of advice as well as assisting with preparing advice documents, conducting research, liaising with clients and other administrative tasks.
You will have the opportunity to learn the entire financial planning process from beginning to end.
Your professional growth and development are crucial and there is support for tertiary education as well as practical learning.
You don't need to have experience in financial planning.
However, to be considered for this opportunity you should have the following:
An interest in financial planning and a strong desire to develop.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and an ability to pick things up quickly.
A degree (or currently studying a degree), preferably in a related field such as financial planning, finance, commerce, economics, business, or accounting.
Candidates must have ongoing, unrestricted work rights with no sponsorship required to be eligible for this position.
Remuneration
The salary package is competitive from $70,000 p.a. to $100,000 p.a. dependent on skills and experience.
