This seasonal position follows a continuous rotating shift roster, which includes weekends and occasional overtime.
Your Role in Action
Start of the Mill: You control the first station in the mill making sure cane gets from the bins to the milling train in regular fashion.Link to the Grower: Maintain cane consignment data to make sure the right grower gets paid for the right cane and maintain records of scheduled weighbridge test weights.Mechanical Reasoning: Troubleshooting issues with the automated sequence of bin handling machines to ensure the mill keeps tipping bins.Housekeeping: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices of fixed plant around weighbridge.
Assist in scheduling cleaning of the weighbridge.Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Cane Supply & Transport and Laboratory teams.Communication: Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance and quality issues.Training: Willing and able to achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies.

The successful applicant must be a strong communicator who can work alongside a range of different people.




Bonus points for applicants who have basic mechanical skills and high-risk work licences such as Confined Space and/or Working at Heights (training provided for the right person).
