We are currently seeking expressions of interest for HSE Leads to work in the Surat Basin of Western Queensland.
The Role
This position will be responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Sustainability with respect to Legislation, Company Policy, Management System and Client requirements, thereby ensuring business risks are prevented and mitigated.
Providing day-to-day site level strategy and direction to deliver HSSES, training & competency excellence and risk management.
The successful applicant will provide resolution to issues and monitor integration of health and safety programs including hazard and risk identification, incident reporting and investigation, employee health and well-being initiatives.
Responsibilities
Providing advice and guidance on all HSSES related matters
Providing support to site personnel, leadership team and local HSSES Advisors/graduates
Participate in and lead incident investigations using an appropriate Investigation process (e.g. ICAM or Taproot)
Capture and report on both leading and lagging HSSES Indicators
Carrying-out HSSES Inductions and VOC's
Developing HSSES presentational material to support client and company initiatives
Ability to comply with contractual documentation requirements
Maintenance of certifications and standards on the contract(s)
Qualifications

Significant HSSES site experience on oil and gas, petrochemical and industrial sites across maintenance, shutdowns and projects
Ability to develop and build relationships with key client stakeholders and understand client requirements.
Ability to manage a multi-cultural workforce from a HSSES perspective
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety and Cert IV Workplace Training & Assessment
Current certificates/training: driver's licence, first aid/CPR, working at heights, confined space
Accident/incident Investigator trained, e.g. ICAM, Taproot (essential)
Significant experience in managing Workers Compensation claims, Rehabilitation & return to work programs
Trained and competent Internal auditor (desirable)
Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
