AJL Heavy Industries is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our finance team based in Burnie, Tasmania.
We are seeking someone with practical experience in an accounts or finance role who has a solid understanding of day-to-day accounting processes.
Whether you've gained your skills through formal study or hands-on experience, we're interested in finding the right person with the right attitude.

About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable (Creditors)
Accounts Receivable (Debtors)
Bank reconciliations
Credit card reconciliations
Processing credit applications
Creating and maintaining customer and supplier accounts
Payroll administration and support
General administrative duties
Assisting with month-end finance processes
Supporting the wider finance team with daily accounting activities
As your experience grows, you will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and develop your knowledge across multiple areas of finance and business operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
A sound understanding of debtors, creditors,



bank reconciliations and general accounting procedures.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
A desire to build a long-term career with a growing business
