About the role:
Our Host Employer,Philmacbased in North Plympton, has been working since **** to innovate and design plastic performance pipe systems.
Philmac's range of poly fittings and valves are designed to withstand Australia's harsh setting and their Adelaide plant is continuing to grow their success.Adding aToolmaker Apprenticeto their workforce, you will;
Learn to examine and understand detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
Use hand and machine tools, welding equipment and CNC machines
Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
Operate lathes, machining centres, sheet metal folders, and benders
Learn a wide variety of welding practices including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
Location: North Plympton
Work Hours:Monday – Friday, 7.00am – 3.00pm
Duration:4 years

About you:
Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
Minimum completion of Year 11 High School
Must be 18 years or older as you will be required to operate an overhead crane
Driver's License and reliable transport
You will have an eye for detail and take enjoyment from a finished, quality product
