We are seeking a motivated Graduate Configuration Management Engineer to join our team in February ****.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a recent engineering graduate who wants to apply their technical knowledge in a varied and dynamic position.
You will play a key part in ensuring the integrity, traceability, and control of complex system configurations across the product lifecycle.
As part of the Configuration Management (CM) team, you will work closely with engineering and project teams to manage product structures, parts data, and design changes.
You will gain hands‐on experience with IBM Jazz and PTC's PLM tool Windchill to establish and maintain configuration baselines across multiple engineering environments, ensuring that all teams remain aligned as products evolve.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the interface of engineering, process, and data management, with the chance to see the bigger picture of how systems come together.
As a Graduate Configuration Management Engineer, you will:
Support the creation, management, and control of product structures, parts lists, and Bills of Material (BoMs).
Maintain configuration baselines across tools (e.g., IBM Jazz, Windchill, 3D CAD) and ensure traceability of changes throughout the product lifecycle.
Assist with the preparation and release of engineering changes.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure correct design data, CAD models, and documentation are captured and controlled.
Work with project managers and systems engineers to maintain alignment between design intent and delivered product.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of CM processes, tools, and reporting.
Provide configuration data and reports to support design reviews, audits, and customer deliveries.
About you:
You will have either recently completed or be completing your tertiary level engineering qualification byJanuary ****.
You will have a high learning aptitude and a drive to constantly update your knowledge in a energetic environment.
You have outstanding communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
Recent degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering (or a related field), graduated within 2 years prior to February ****.
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically and accurately with technical data.
Good communication skills for collaborating across engineering and project teams.
Curiosity and willingness to learn about systems, processes, and digital engineering tools.
Interest in how complex systems (aerospace, defence, automotive, or similar) are designed, built, and maintained.
Familiarity with IBM Jazz, PLM tools, or ERP systems.
Knowledge of configuration or data management principles (EIA‐649 or similar).
Understanding of parts, product structures and configuration baselines and how they are managed across multi‐tool environments.
Special Requirements:
