The Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia (MRIWA) MRIWA funds and coordinates research, connecting industry, government, and research institutions to build the state's research capability and workforce pipeline.
The Position
This newly created role offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful contribution to Western Australia's research and innovation ecosystem through the delivery of MRIWA's education and workforce program.
As Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering initiatives supporting the development of WA's future research and industry workforce needs.
This work includes administering research scholarship programs, supporting skills development initiatives, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and contributing to projects that strengthen capability across MRIWA's priority research areas.
Working closely with our team, universities, researchers, industry partners, government agencies, and funding recipients, you will build strong working relationships and ensure programs are delivered efficiently, effectively, and to a high standard.
You will coordinate program activities from planning through to implementation, monitor progress and outcomes,
manage reporting requirements, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, managing competing priorities, and delivering quality outcomes.
You'll be part of a small, collaborative, and high‐performing team where initiative, accountability, and a willingness to contribute fully to our overall success are highly valued.
The role provides the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects, engage with Higher‐degree by Research (HDR) students, leading researchers and industry stakeholders, and contribute to programs that have a tangible impact on the future research capability of Western Australia.
