Your Role
Located in Sydney at Woolloomooloo's Garden Island,
on Gadigal land your role purpose is to commence and complete a traineeship inDiploma of Electronics and Communicationswhich is typically a 2‐year traineeship.
Installation of all types of naval equipment in shore and ship borne environments
Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems on naval vessels
Fault analysis of commercial and military electrical weapons equipment and systems
Conducting repairs to electrical systems
Your Experience
Qualified Supervisor's Certificate (Electrical Licence)
Demonstrated mechanical and/or technical aptitude
Great communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of people
Comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment, at Heights and in Confined Spaces
A Defence security clearance NV1 is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
