Responsibilities
Play a critical role in supporting high-quality patient care as part of Fairfield Hospital's Perioperative Services team.
Clean, disinfect, inspect, package, sterilise, and distribute reusable medical devices and surgical instruments.
Ensure all reprocessing activities comply with AS****:**** standards and infection prevention requirements.
Contribute to the safe and effective delivery of surgical services through accuracy and attention to detail.
Make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes by maintaining the highest standards of sterility and safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team environment.
Communicate confidently, using active listening and sound judgement to support daily operations.
Manage competing priorities, stay organised, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast‐paced setting.
Show a strong commitment to infection control, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Current influenza (flu) vaccination is a mandatory requirement.
Selection Criteria
Do you currently hold a Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent?

Demonstrated ability to work independently to process & store endoscopes using automated endoscope reprocessor (AERs), Endodry cabinet & other complex devices as applicable.
