Role Description
The Support Worker role at Aricare Supports is a full-time, on-site position based in Gold Coast, QLD. The Support Worker will provide person-centered support to NDIS participants, including assistance with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and household duties like cleaning and laundry. The role involves delivering social and community participation support, transport to appointments and activities, and encouraging independence and skill-building in line with each participant's goals. The Support Worker will assist with mobility aids, medication prompts in line with care plans,



and may support home maintenance or minor modifications as required. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, following safeguarding and NDIS guidelines, communicating effectively with participants, families, and the wider support team, and contributing to a safe, respectful, and inclusive setting.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in support work or disability support, with practical knowledge of the NDIS and person-centered care.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trust, listen actively, and collaborate with participants, families, and colleagues.
Awareness of safeguarding principles, risk management, and duty of care, with commitment to participant safety, privacy, and rights.
Basic technical support capabilities related to assistive technology, mobility aids, and using digital tools for scheduling and documentation.
Relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services, Aged Care, or a related field (or working toward); current First Aid/CPR and valid driver's license.
Ability to perform personal care and manual handling tasks safely, with flexibility to work across various shifts as required.
NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (if applicable), and compliance with NDIS practice standards.
