We're looking for enthusiastic Casual Cooks to join the team at our busy Highpoint restaurant.
What You'll Do
Prepare and cook our menu to The Pancake Parlour's high standards.
Work as part of a supportive team in a busy commercial kitchen.
Maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards.
Help deliver a great experience for every customer.

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen (Cook, Kitchen Hand, Apprentice/Trainee Cook, Fast Food Cook or similar).
Works well under pressure and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Is reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
Has good English communication skills and can confidently follow recipes and procedures.




Takes pride in maintaining high food safety and kitchen standards.
Availability & Shift Expectations
This role is best suited to someone who has genuine flexibility and can work our busiest trading periods.
Applicants must be available to work:
Friday and Saturday nights
Evenings, weekends and Public Holidays
A mix of opening, daytime, evening and closing shifts
Cook shifts are generally
7–8 hours
in length.
Late-night finishes are a regular part of this role, with many closing shifts finishing around
12:30am–1:00am
.
As Highpoint is a
24-hour restaurant
, there may also be occasional overnight (dawn) shifts where operationally required.
Please note:
We generally do not offer short 3–4 hour cook shifts, so applicants must be genuinely available to work full-length shifts.
Pay
Adult Casual Cook (Level 3) Rates
Monday–Friday:
$*****/hr
Saturday:
$*****/hr
Sunday:
$*****/hr
Public Holidays:
$*****/hr
Junior rates apply where applicable.
The Fine Print
Valid Australian working rights are required.
You'll need reliable transport to meet the operational requirements of late-night and occasional overnight shifts.
