We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant for a full-time position.
About us:
We are a general dental practice and have been established for over 50 years.
We employ a mix of permanent and casual/part time staff - some who have been here long term and some who have joined us more recently.
We have 4 dentists (two part timers) and 3 hygienists/OHTs, and we operate 5 days per week including some evenings - no weekend work.
The role includes different start/finish times depending on the day of the week, and full-time staff enjoy a half-day off each week.
Following initial training, our staff provide ongoing team support.
We have clear systems in place for our infection control processes - new staff learn these initially and on an ongoing basis.
It is important to note that we are an accredited practice.
Staff meetings, training sessions and attendance at continuing education seminars are provided on a regular basis throughout the year.
About you:
For this position, we prefer a candidate with a minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience, and with a dental assisting certification.
We pay above award rates.
Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
The role requires general dental assisting duties such as:
wipe-down/surgery changeover
surgery restocking and cleaning
general "float" and sterilisation room tasks
The candidate will also be able to:
identify and rectify day to day problems
greet and communicate professionally with patients
follow existing systems carefully
