The Riverina Redevelopment Join Venture is a ***** joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of exisiting infrustructure facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including;
The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:
Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
Construction of new training and mess facilities
Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

The Commercial & Procurement Manager will play a critical leadership role in supporting the successful delivery of the Riverina Redevelopment Program.
You will be responsible for the commercial, contractual and procurement management of major construction packages, ensuring project objectives are achieved while maintaining strong governance, commercial performance and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial and procurement activities across the project.
Manage contractual obligations, risks and commercial opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
Review and administer subcontractor and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
Oversee the preparation, assessment and negotiation of variations, claims, extensions of time (EOTs) and dispute resolution matters.
Manage subcontractor payment processes, forecasts, accruals and valuations.
Monitor commercial performance and provide accurate reporting to support effective project decision-making.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Support project risk management and contribute to strategic commercial initiatives that enhance project profitability and performance.
Lead and mentor commercial team members while fostering a cooperative "One Team" culture.
Promote and uphold a strong Zero Harm safety culture across all commercial and procurement activities.
About You
A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Economics, Law, Business or a related discipline.
Significant experience in commercial, contract and/or cost management within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes, subcontract management and commercial governance.
Demonstrated experience managing contractual correspondence, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
Excellent commercial and business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience delivering large-scale building and infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
