About The Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician / Workshop Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a hands‐on role ideally suited to an experienced tradesperson, fitter, automotive technician, auto electrician, mechanical assembler, or workshop professional.
If you have a keen eye for detail and take pride in producing precise and high‐quality work in an organised and tidy manner, we want to hear from you.
Working within our manufacturing workshop, you will be involved in the assembly of advanced industrial solar trailer systems and associated equipment.
The role includes:
Mechanical assembly and fitting of fabricated components and assemblies
Installation and mounting of equipment, hardware and accessories
Basic electrical assembly and installation of extra‐low‐voltage automotive‐style components and cabling
Use of hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
Following structured assembly procedures and quality requirements
Maintaining a secure, organised and efficient work area
Contributing to a high‐quality fit, finish and presentation of finished products
About You
You may come from a manufacturing, mechanical, automotive, fabrication or workshop background.
You will enjoy practical, hands‐on work and thrive working with a small team, and confident to work independently for periods of time.
Essential Criteria
Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical,
automotive or auto‐electrical workshop environment
Ability to confidently use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to follow documented procedures and assembly instructions
A commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Reliable, organised and self‐motivated
Desirable Experience
Trade qualification or relevant industry experience
Mechanical fitting, automotive fitting or auto‐electrical experience
Basic lifting and rigging experience
Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
Physical Requirements
This role involves:
Standing and working on your feet for extended periods
Manual handling of components and assemblies
Bending, kneeling, reaching and working from low‐level platforms
Lifting and positioning components safely in accordance with workshop procedures

Position type:Permanent and flexible - will consider part time and full time applicants
