Diesel Mechanic
Jadoon Group Pty Ltd t/a Auto Care Centre Maddingley / TyrePlus is seeking a full-time qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team.
Available Position
Qualified Diesel Mechanic – Minimum of four years' experience.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of diesel-powered vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
Identify faults using diagnostic equipment and recommend effective repair solutions.
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on diesel engines and associated systems.
Inspect, test, and repair fuel injection systems, turbochargers, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
Conduct engine diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
Dismantle, repair, and replace defective components and assemblies.
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
Complete service reports and maintain accurate repair records.
Carry out final quality control checks before returning vehicles to customers.
Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised workshop.
Assist in mentoring apprentices and supporting workshop staff when required.
Skills and Qualifications




Relevant Australian trade qualification (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Diesel Engine Technology, or equivalent).
Minimum four years' experience working as a Diesel Mechanic.
Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and electronic diesel management systems.
Experience working on light commercial, heavy commercial, agricultural, or earthmoving equipment is highly regarded.
HR or HC Licence is advantageous but not essential.
Air Conditioning Handling Licence is advantageous but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
