About the Role
This casual Physiotherapist role offers the opportunity to work across diverse clinical settings, including acute inpatient, subacute rehabilitation, and community programs, primarily within Grampians Health Ballarat. You'll be able to apply your skills in a variety of environments, contributing to patient recovery and rehabilitation.
The role provides flexibility, with optional weekend work available, and allows you to broaden your experience across multiple clinical areas while supporting the delivery of high‐quality care to the community.
What we're looking for
Recent experience in acute, subacute, and/or community hospital programs (essential)
A commitment to providing excellent patient care across different settings
Key Responsibilities
Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, complex discharge planning, and advocacy for clients across acute, subacute, and community programs.
Ensure smooth client transitions through the healthcare system, liaising with staff and community agencies for continuity of care.
Actively participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and family meetings.
Monitor and ensure clinical activities meet competency standards and program requirements, while supporting evidence‐based practice.
Maintain effective communication within the organisation and with external parties, ensuring accurate documentation and completion of statistical records.
Contribute to workforce development and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
Skills & Experience




Eligibility for registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Sound knowledge and experience in assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for clients in acute inpatient, subacute rehabilitation, and community programs.
Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic and busy work environment.
Commitment to ongoing learning in relevant fields.
Reflective practice and ability to evaluate and modify own performance.
Strong commitment to a collaborative, multi‐disciplinary approach to client care.
