Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.
We're inviting applications to join our permanent workforce in Amberley QLD, as a Property & Asset Services Manager. We're committed to building a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute.
We're looking for people from all backgrounds - whether you bring Defence experience, industry knowledge, or transferable skills from other sectors.
What You'll Do
Lead delivery of PAS services across their Defence base/region (EU, LM, AO, TARM)
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, KPIs and MIC/PMF reporting.
Implement service delivery plans, schedules and resourcing across base/region.
Manage budgets, forecasts and cost control for base/region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Defence stakeholders at base and regional level.
Lead and support site teams including supervisors, schedulers, trades and subcontractors.
What You'll Bring
Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Business, Asset Management or Project Management (mandatory)
Trade qualifications in building, mechanical, electrical or related fields (desirable)
White Card and site access credentials (desirable)
Ability to obtain and retain an AGSFA Security Clearance.




Extensive experience in facilities or asset management with leadership accountability.
Robust track record of contract delivery within Defence or comparable large-scale FM environments.
Financial management, forecasting and subcontractor management experience.
