Role Description
This is a full time Lawyer role based in Bundall, QLD, offered on a hybrid basis with some flexibility to work from home. The Lawyer will manage a portfolio of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters, including drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal advice, as well as preparing court documents and briefing counsel. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, reviewing evidence and documents, participating in client meetings, and developing case strategies aligned with clients' commercial objectives. The role involves appearing at court and tribunals as required, engaging in settlement negotiations,



and collaborating with colleagues to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes. The Lawyer will also assist with matter management, file administration, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient practice operations.
Qualifications
Admission as a Lawyer in Australia, with a current practicing certificate.
Experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery and dispute resolution.
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply commercial judgment to legal issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear drafting of advice, pleadings, and correspondence.
Sound time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment, including in a hybrid work arrangement.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and client service focus, with a commitment to quality and confidentiality.
Proficiency with common legal practice software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with litigation support tools is beneficial.
Previous experience in a commercial or litigation practice is desirable but candidates with strong foundational training will be considered.
