Are you a passionate and organised cook who loves creating nourishing meals in a warm, community-driven environment? Windsor Neighbourhood Childcare Centre is looking for a dedicated Centre Cook to join our small, welcoming early learning centre in Windsor, where we care for up to 54 children each day. This is more than just a kitchen role - you'll be a key part of our centre, preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks that support children's learning, growth, and energy every single day. With a predictable Monday to Friday schedule and no split shifts, late nights, or weekend work, this is a role that truly fits around your life.
What You'll Be Doing:
Planning and preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea) in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards
Managing the kitchen, including ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Working closely with the team to cater for children's individual allergies and dietary needs
Maintaining accurate records in line with food safety requirements
Bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for childhood nutrition to everything you do
We're Looking for Someone Who:
Has experience in a similar cook or kitchen role - experience in an early childhood or school setting is highly regarded
Genuinely loves cooking and understands the importance of healthy nutrition for young children
Is reliable, efficient, organised, and capable of managing a kitchen budget
Holds a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
Holds a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)



or is willing to obtain one
Child protection qualification is a requirement for this role
Is a warm, collaborative team player who thrives in a small, community-focused setting
Has knowledge of safe food handling practices and relevant health and safety regulations
