An exciting opportunity has become available for an accomplished
Project Manager / Design Manager
to lead the successful delivery of major transport infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
This role is ideally suited to someone who has developed their career through a
technical design background
before progressing into project and design management. You'll play a key role in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of complex roads and highways projects from planning and design through to construction support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading multidisciplinary design teams across major roads and highways projects.
Managing project scope, programme, budgets and commercial performance.
Coordinating technical design delivery while ensuring quality, compliance and risk management.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies, contractors and key stakeholders.
Providing leadership and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
Identifying opportunities for business development and supporting future project wins.
Driving collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver successful project outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Extensive experience delivering major roads and highways projects within an engineering consultancy.
A strong technical design background with experience in road geometry, highways or transport infrastructure design.
Demonstrated experience in Project Management and/or Design Management on complex multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Excellent client engagement and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, schedules and contractual obligations.
Outstanding communication and leadership capabilities.
Chartered status (or working towards it) will be highly regarded.
