As a Motor Mechanic, you service and repair Council owned vehicles and plant, carrying out diagnostics, inspections and fault finding across a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, plant and specialised equipment. You keep them safe, reliable and ready for use, supporting the delivery of essential services to more than 450,000 residents across Blacktown City.
Responsibilities
You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, and conduct inspections to ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety and operational standards. Your work supports teams that maintain parks, repair roads, collect waste and deliver community services.
Qualifications
Entry‐level through experienced mechanics are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate enjoys solving mechanical problems, takes pride in their work, and collaborates well with others.

Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
38‐hour working week with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight
