Project Geologist – Exploration Focus

Are you a motivated exploration geologist looking to make your mark in WA's resources sector? We are seeking a
Project Geologist
to join an established exploration team and play a key role in discovering and advancing mineral projects across Western Australia.
The Prospect
In this hands‐on role, you will supervise drilling programs, conduct detailed geological logging and interpretation, and contribute to the generation and advancement of exploration targets. You'll work closely with the Exploration Manager and field teams to ensure drilling is completed safely, on time, and within budget, while extracting maximum geological insight from each program.
This is a Perth-based position with regular site travel. A flexible 9‐day fortnight is available, along with opportunities to develop your technical expertise and contribute to project generation.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Aircore, RC and Diamond drilling programs, ensuring safety, cost control and quality standards.
Conduct geological logging, data validation, and interpretation of drilling results.
Develop cross-sectional interpretations to advance geological understanding of mineralised systems.
Assist with mapping, project generation and assessment for acquisition opportunities.
Prepare and submit statutory approvals (Programs of Work).
Build strong working relationships with contractors, pastoralists, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders.
Contribute to feasibility studies and broader exploration strategy.
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience in mineral exploration, including project management.
Strong knowledge of Archaean geology, particularly Yilgarn gold deposits.
Exposure to a variety of mineralised systems across Australia and/or internationally.
Skilled in MS Office, Micromine, QGIS (database management experience highly regarded).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage teams, contractors and logistics.
Comfortable working autonomously, in a team, and in remote field locations.
