About The Role
This role is responsible for leading and managing the systems, processes, and support services that underpin state-wide building maintenance contracts, ensuring the efficient handling of high-volume transactions, seamless supplier invoice processing, and client cost recovery. You will oversee maintenance works management and information systems, plan, lead, and manage improvement initiatives, with accountability for identifying inefficiencies, designing targeted improvements, and delivering change projects that enhance compliance, streamline processes, and optimise operational performance.
The position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity, ensuring compliance with policies and government requirements. It also provides strategic and operational support, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency. You will plan and direct contract support functions and provide insights into policy effectiveness. Additionally, the role involves leading staff, supporting organisational objectives through values-led behaviours, and undertaking special projects as required.
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented leader with strong experience in managing high-volume, low-value transactional environments, ideally within building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar operational setting. You bring a proven ability to design and improve systems, processes, and procedures that drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance at scale. With sound financial acumen, you are comfortable overseeing invoice processing, cost recovery activities, budgeting support, and business reporting.

You are known for your ability to maintain data integrity, provide effective training to staff, and lead and deliver practical solutions to operational challenges. A confident communicator, you build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders and serve as a trusted point of contact for resolving complex day-to-day business issues. Above all, you demonstrate strong leadership behaviours, a commitment to continuous improvement, and alignment with organisational values.
This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means that you will motivate and enable others to deliver high-quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding and developing others. This requires a significant shift in thinking from 'doing' to supporting others to 'do good work'; and consideration of present and future needs when allocating time to the team and projects you lead. You will articulate how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback.
