Who will you be working with?
Reporting to the Technical Services lead, this position is responsible for facilitating the successful installation, maintenance, and servicing of WABTEC Collision Avoidance System (CAS) technology and Dotnetix, a Wabtec company smart AI camera solution on light and heavy mining vehicles in various site locations nationally and globally. The role is required to work on full site installations as well as smaller individual equipment installation projects. Tasks vary from mobilisation activities, equipment scoping, installation, commissioning, ongoing maintenance and demobilisation. Often working independently onsite, remote support is provided from our regional locations across Australia.
Where is the position located?
FIFO/DIDO at Project Site in Orange, NSW. 5 days on 2 days off roster.
What will your typical day look like?
Onsite installation and commissioning of CAS systems and smart AI camera's
Act as the site representative / face‐to‐the‐Customer on behalf of Wabtec
Site management for project installations, including overseeing sub‐contractor resources
Conduct scoping activities prior to installation for customer review and approval
Drive EHS compliance and continual improvement of safe work practices
Maintain accurate and timely project / service delivery records




Prepare site specific documentation for the project
Training of personnel on the installation and operations of the CAS system
On‐demand customer service and support, including troubleshooting and planned maintenance
Ongoing site maintenance work as required to ensure high availability of equipment
Conducting installation quality audits
Must be willing to travel on short notice domestically and internationally
What do we want to know about you?
Auto Electrical / Electrical Trades qualified.
Min 3 years Industry / Mining experience after gaining trade qualification (preferred).
Working at Heights (desirable).
Mining Industry Site Experience (mandatory).
Heavy Vehicle - Mining Auto Electrical Experience (desirable).
Site Supervision Experience – Trades (desirable).
Networking systems (LAN / WAN) basics (desirable).
Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office (mandatory).
Gathering customer inputs and translating to solution requirements.
Managing changing work priorities in a dynamic customer site workplace.
Attention to detail.
Strong oral and written skills.
Solid work ethic and 'can-do' attitude.
Ability to work unsupervised as an individual contributor.
Ability to both lead and work as part of a team.
Travel and roster flexibility.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
