Role Description
We are seeking an experienced (5 - 7+ years) PLC Technician / Engineer with strong Siemens automation capability to support the delivery, implementation, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems.
This role is suited to a technician / engineer who is technically hands‐on, comfortable working on live systems, and able to attend client sites as required to support project delivery and fault resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, program, and commission Siemens PLC and HMI systems.
Deliver control systems across the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.
Troubleshoot and fault‐find control and automation systems in operational environments.
Provide ad‐hoc site support for project implementation, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with clients, electricians,



and other project stakeholders.
Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC.
Strong PLC programming and debugging capability.
Experience with Siemens hardware including S*****, S******, S******, and WinCC.
Ability to diagnose and resolve control system and electrical faults on‐site.
Industrial communications including Profinet and Profibus.
Ability to develop PLC programs from scratch.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Australian work rights and a valid driver's licence.
Willingness to travel extensively and work autonomously in challenging environments.
Availability to travel *****% of the time for field service assignments.
SCADA system integration.
Exposure to functional safety systems.
On‐site commissioning experience in industrial environments.
Laboratory Automation.
Travel Requirements
Ad‐hoc site travel is required as part of the role. Sites are a mix of remote and capital cities. Some travel may be short notice depending on project and client requirements.
