About the Opportunity
We're looking for a capable and forward‐thinking Material Management Specialist to join our Edinburgh-based Material Management Team, supporting the
MC-55A program
. This role centres on keeping BDS spares and Repairable Items pipelines flowing smoothly and ensuring procurement and repair induction activities are delivered on time and in line with contractual expectations.

This role reports to the
Team Lead MC-55A Supply Chain
. Your day‐to‐day responsibilities include:
Managing effective spares pipelines for BDS spares and Repairable Items.
Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve BDS-related issues.
Contributing to performance reporting, KPI management and supply‐chain data analysis.
Supporting contract management activities for BDS and Repairable Items.
Conducting reviews of individual BDS components and Repairable Items.
Participating in preparedness reviews, studies and planning.
Conducting procurement activities and repair inductions to support the S&R; program.
Maintaining high‐quality data across MILIS, SAP, Objective and other relevant systems, including supporting data purification activities.
Assisting in the execution of AAP strategy and contributing to team Management Objectives.

Qualifications and experience that best suit this role:
Spares & Procurement expertise: managing spares pipelines and coordinating procurement or repair induction activities (familiarity with DCS & FMS a plus).
Relationship management: building strong working relationships and navigating stakeholder conversations with confidence.
Clear communication: excellent verbal and written skills, able to meet tight deadlines.
Problem solving: strong analytical skills to resolve high‐level service issues and unblock critical AOG situations.
Systems knowledge: exposure to Defence ERP/SAP systems and continuous improvement principles; knowledge of Defence supply environments and the Electronic Supply Chain Manual highly regarded.
