We're on the lookout for service technicians to work from our depot at Gawler. You may be an experienced mechanic specializing in diesel engines, or a technically skilled professional eager to refine and expand your expertise. This is your opportunity to step out of the workshop and into a role that offers field work and autonomy.
What You'll Do
Service and repair frost fans on customer sites
Use your mechanical expertise to assess, diagnose and resolve issues
Work autonomously across the region — travel, overnight stays, and weekend work may be required during peak season
Liaise directly with growers and contractors to coordinate service visits
Accurately complete service reports and paperwork
Maintain high safety standards in every job
Occasional travel is needed, including seasonal overnight and some weekend work
What You'll Bring




Either
proven mechanical experience — ideally working with diesel engines, ag equipment, or industrial machinery
A solid understanding of mechanical safety, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance
Or
you might have just 1-2 years' experience ready to take direction and learn current skills
A self-starting mindset — ability to work independently and manager your own workload
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights
Confident using digital tools for reporting and scheduling
Desirable (but not essential)
MR truck license
Forklift license
EWP license
